Grow on the Go expanded into your yard and garden

written by Sherpa Guy
Expand the drip and save a lot with grow on the go concept for easy living and healthy food.  Use this simple approach to really expand what you can grow easily.  See grownthego.com to understand the impact to you

You want to grow tomatoes, zucchinis, aubergines, green beans, okra, jalapenos, peppers, herbs, flowers, etc, etc and you are like me like all the results but just hate doing the work, well I have a solution for you……  ‘blacktop’ your garden and put in an automated drip tape system for pennies using the grow on the go technique.     And if you don’t like the look of the blacktop cover it in mulch, perfect garden with no weeding or watering.   Hey don’t get me wrong I love to garden but there are two things I hate to do; weed and water. The first is hard work; the second is 100% commitment to your garden and leaving for vacation is a no-no unless you have a ‘garden sitter’.    So in the few articles I will explain that doing the work upfront will result in zero work for the rest of the season other than planting your favorite plants.  I mean zero work all you do is pick the crops, this system works perfectly and even allows you to take long weekends or vacations away with no worries about the condition of your plants.

Yard-Layout Grow On The Go

Here’s the work bit; once done you really are done, I mean no weeding no watering, no feeding, Nada!     I till the soil to allow me to build raised beds as illustrated.   If you don’t want to do this, pay some kid to do this as this is the only real back breaking work from my perspective.   The raised beds should be about 1ft broad and as long as your garden as illustrated.  You also need to have space to walk between each bed.   Finally add your garden fertilizer as instructed by the make and manufacturer.

Put the one inch drip emitter black tubing around the periphery of the garden and spur of your drip tape as shown.  Seal the end of the emitter tube with end seal and attach the drip emitter tubing to your pressure regulator and then to your timer.   This setup is exactly the same as was discussed in the previous section.   Now the nice thing with this approach is that you can spur off the drip tape to just about any location.    Each drip tape line has it’s own on/off regulator (see illustration).  This means you can isolate parts of the garden where you are not ready to water and so save water until you need it.  My Grow on the Go technique is easy to implement and will save you $$$$$
